8x8 is seeking a Vice President of Sales APAC.
If you have read this far, you might be wondering: what and who is 8x8?
That is the question for this new executive to answer. This is a unique role across the global marketing team, as well as within the company. 8x8 has plenty of intellectual horsepower plus experiences across the enterprise, however, what the business needs is a leader with creative flair and one who will be the “emotional arm” inside the worldwide organization. An executive with a strong point of view on branding, the creative approach and the digital world, and who is expert at “selling” their vision and ideas both internally and externally.
In addition, note that nearly half of 8x8’s revenues come from the small/medium businesses (SMB). Therefore, not only will the mandate be to develop and drive the 8x8 brand at a corporate and enterprise level, this executive is instrumental – and dare I say, critical – to the growth of the company’s eCommerce business. As this is 100% digital and web-based, this executive’s depth in the user experience for the online brand will be invaluable to this channel’s success. They will create buyer personas and figure out how the SMB experience permeates across multiple touchpoints, from the time one finds 8x8 via the web and all the way through the transaction to onboarding. The transaction volume in this target segment is high, and this executive will own the 8x8 online presence as well as ensure that this business is fully automated.
This role will bring great influence, change and impact to 8x8 worldwide. They are the internal creative expert and brand guru. Success will be measured in multiple ways. By the depth of impact across the organization, the clarity of the brand across both the enterprise and SMB markets, the motivation and alignment of the brand experience across all functions and multiple customer touchpoints, plus the results and growth of the eCommerce business.
