What is the role?

Based in Sydney, we are now actively recruiting a Business Development Manager to take up a key role within our ENERGY team to support our Microgrid business. Key responsibilities will include:

  • identifying and closing strategic opportunities in Australia and achieving targeted sales revenue and growth goals for the Microgrid / Distributed Energy Resources (DER) business in Australia through engagement with builders, networks and project developers.

  • developing the financial and commercial models for the Microgrid / DER business from both a Schneider and customer perspective;

  • develop the ecosystem of SE partners for the delivery of finance; DER equipment; and automation and controls systems suppliers;

  • actively participate in the offer development based on understanding customer value; and

  • develop and communicate the value proposition of SE’s microgrid/DER business.

  • Degree or equivalent preferred plus solid experience in a ‘C’ level sales solutions environment with enterprise/end-user sales experience.

  • Proven track record of strategic account planning & development complemented by knowledge of energy and DER industry.

  • Proven track record and ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships.

  • Problem solving ability, aptitude to understand & explain technical information in simple terms.

  • Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholders to bring together a solution for customers.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong time management & results orientation “whatever it takes” attitude & desire.
