What is the role?

Based in Sydney, we are now actively recruiting aDistribution Managerfor our newly transformed IT Department.The Distribution Manager is responsible for the relationship management and revenue growth of APC’s authorised distribution partners in the Pacific region. The successful candidate will exhibit excellent leadership qualities that will enableAPC by Schneider Electric to be positioned strategically with these partners, and hence will be a key contributor toAPC by Schneider Electric’s current and future success in Pacific. The role will require a high level of sales, operational and marketing capabilities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Engage with APC by Schneider Electric’s Distributors in Australia and New Zealand to increase APC by Schneider Electric’s product/solution sales.

  • Lead and manage a comprehensive distribution engagement strategy, to drive territory market share growth via Distribution and development of a tier 2 channel.

  • Accountable for the joint execution and tactical implementation of this strategy.

  • Act as APC by Schneider Electric’s representative to the distributors and tier 2 partners and will be accountable for the quality of the field relationships.

  • Solutions-oriented training, lunch-and-learns, sales calls, and other activities associated with creating mind-share are critical components of this role.

  • Be a strong advocate for APC by Schneider Electric with the distributors and partners. Will also develop and promote the distributor and partner skills/offerings within APC by Schneider Electric.

  • Successful sales experience in the IT/ET industry.

  • Experience working with Channels: Distributors, and/or resellers in a business development/account management capacity.

  • Proven ability to develop regional sales strategy for multi-tier channels / run rate business

  • Good working experience with key local resellers and experience establishing and fostering strong channel relationships.

  • Experience using salesforce.com is a plus.

  • Proven track record of managing stock and inventory for a vendor with a distribution channel

  • Proven record of establishing meaningful business relationships with executives

  • Experience in reseller recruitment - ability to identify potential recruits and to discuss win-win business relationships

  • Existing relationships in key APC by Schneider Electric distribution partners

  • Experience managing sales / marketing programs and demand generation activities
