Our Talwood site is seeking an experienced leader to join their team, in the role of Regional Operations Assistant. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, this is a busy role in a capacity that would require you to be a hands on leader, with the ability to plan, focus on safety, operational efficiency, people and reliability.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and working with site staff in the efficient and safe execution of site operations;
Providing training and supervising staff and contractors in the key activities such as plant operations activities including DOGS & Stackers, Elevators and Conveyors, Silos and a range of vehicles and equipment;
Leading the execution of risk management systems and programs for both EH&S & FSQR and inventory management programs at sites ;
Assisting with operational efficiency planning and review including developing rosters, master schedules and planning outturns;
Taking an active role with the maintenance & reliability program for the sites;
As a natural leader, you will bring with you proven supervisory skills and be willing to roll up your sleeves.
All about you
It would be desirable to have:
3 – 5 years of experience working in a similar role
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
An ability to work in a changing work environment focused on reliability and quality (including working outdoors);
An ability to travel to other sites;
Willingness to work flexible hours when needed to meet customer requirements
An ability to administer operational training on Work Instructions (WIs);
Confined Space Certificate and First Aid (min L2) will be highly regarded.
