Job Description:

Scope of Position:

To understand Brown-Forman and customer strategy including linkage, innovate and implement business initiatives in line with strategies, achieve qualitative and quantifiable business objectives and business analytics

Key responsibilities:

Business Value Creator

  • Create incremental mutual value within business plans

  • Communicate the value proposition with the customer

  • Measure / Evaluate realised value

Strong Relationship Builder

  • Collaborate to understand the bedrock that drives the customers decision making process

  • Spend time in-venue outside of official business

  • Provide industry or business relevant information the customer will value

  • Learn everything you can about the customer and their business

Commercial Build Capability

  • Commercial scenarios linked to BFA / Customer strategies

  • Commercial scenario`s linked to core decision making triggers

  • Insights to support your case and increase customer engagement

  • Presentation build and fluency in presenting

  • Manage trading terms and tender process with key customers

Key Account Management & Time Management

  • Build key customer strategy that delivers both qualitative and quantifiable objectives

  • Every account must have a plan that links to overall territory builds

  • All accounts to be visited / contacted as required

Sales Administration

  • Evaluate account plans within set timings

  • Evaluate brand activations within set timings and budgets

  • Obtain scan data from outlets

  • Analyse data extracting commercial and consumer insights for new opportunities

  • General internal account maintenance

Strong Communicator

  • Construct meaningful business dialogue during calls and evolve within the team

  • Innovation in presenting to customers that engages for BFA benefit

Qualifications & Requirements

Must Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years key account experience in FMCG selling environment

  • Proven P&L Management

  • People management capability

  • Ability to generate incremental profit streams

Preferred Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a business related field

  • Liquor Experience
