KBR have been successful in gaining a long term alliance project in the rail sector and along with that have some other significant work in the pipeline.

This has created a need for some additional people to join our highly respected rail team in

Melbourne.

The key role is for a principal level track engineer, but we are also looking at other people who would like the development opportunity to be fast-tracked to more senior roles.

Responsibilities

Form and nurture industry/market relationships to maximise repeat business from existing Clients

Provide technical expertise, mentoring and support to the rail engineering team.

Supervise project staff and review deliverables to ensure compliance with technical and quality assurance standards

Work independently to complete the planning, design and execution of projects that meet or exceed client expectations

Assist and support the development of new business opportunities, including responsibility for preparation of project proposals.

Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent

CPEng (or equivalent Chartered or Registered status)

Strong technical design ability

Extensive experience in the rail industry within Victoria or other areas

Proven experience in a Project/Design Manager role for transport projects is highly desirable.

Working knowledge of commercial arrangements and relationships

Strong practical knowledge of and commitment to health and safety

Hold a minimum of 15 years relevant experience and significant experience, in an engineering consulting environment.

Previous experience in team management
