Job Summary

As the Contracts Coordinator - Drilling Consumables, you are responsible for ensuring the correct stock levels are held and available at the 6 locations for the Rotary Blast Hole and DTH Drilling operations in the West Pilbara. You will also ensure safe and efficient operation and aim at supporting our customers and ensuring that our operations are fully maintained.

Key responsibilities include (not limited to):

  • Support Surface Drilling in the Mining and Construction Industry with Logistical control and stores management in the West Pilbara;

  • Rock Tools Inventory Management – Forecasting, Tracking and Monitoring;

  • Control of onsite inventory levels across all 6 operations;

  • Reporting and analytical duties;

  • Set up and efficient operation of main store at Tom Price;

  • Implementation and operation of electronic stock control system;

  • Inventory Management and logistical co-ordination;

  • Control of the Sandvik Carbide Recovery Program; and

  • Working on a site roster.

    Your profile

    We are looking for someone with solid experience with inventory control who can hit the ground running and start developing and implementing processes and systems to ensure correct level of stock holding. You should be analytically minded and have an interest and proficiency in reporting and analysing data to present it in a meaningful way. Candidates with mining industry experience and/or Sandvik product knowledge will be highly regarded.

    It would be beneficial that you have or are willing and able to obtain the following:

  • HR Drivers License;

  • High Risk Work License (Forklift Operation);

  • Current First Aid;

  • Riggers Ticket (Cranes and Slings);

  • Rio Tinto induction; and

  • Pre-Employment medical including a Drug & Alcohol test.
