PayPal Marketing Manager - Working Capital in Australia

This role is responsible for leading the marketing for PayPal Working Capital and developing initiatives to promote the PPWC to key target audiences and drive new and subsequent loan originations and volume. Reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager for Credit, the Marketing Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining competitor insights and tracking, and undertaking research to understand our customers and their needs.


  • Lead PPWC marketing strategy and annual plans, aligning with business goals and objectives

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to achieve business objectives including new loans, subsequent loans and loan volumes across channels. Channels will include: CRM platform, Search and Digital, Social, Owned channels and website

  • Work with regional marketing operations teams and manage agencies to implement, measure and optimize marketing campaigns

  • Partner with regional and global counterparts to share learnings and leverage best practice approaches for PPWC marketing

  • Undertake analysis and research to understand PPWC customer needs and ongoing behaviours and apply learnings to campaign development

  • Accountability for the delivery of planned PPWC activities against financial and non-financial metrics including providing regular reporting on the performance and status of campaigns

  • Work closely with the regional CRM team to integrate PPWC initiatives throughout the PayPal core CRM program

  • Be part of a marketing team that is famous for identifying, creating and delivering growth and renowned for executional excellence

  • Deliver innovative and impactful creative marketing initiatives, aligned to the PayPal brand guidelines

  • Develop and manage on-going reporting to demonstrate the success of marketing activities, implementing optimisations to improve performance and marketing ROI

  • Drive a customer-led, insights focused approach to intelligently use data, customer feedback and research in decision making

  • Undertake regular competitive landscape reviews and key competitor tracking

  • Be a passionate "voice of the customer" in the Australian business and the Credit business


  • A product or CRM marketer with 7+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a B2B focus (highly relevant backgrounds include financial services, telco, payments, tech or eCommerce)

  • Successful track record in developing and managing digital end-to-end marketing programmes across the customer lifecycle to deliver to business targets, with a particular focus on cross-selling products to an existing customer base

  • Understanding of the SMB landscape advantageous

  • Successful track record in working cross functionally & building effective working relationships

  • Analytical, thrives on digging deep into the data and comfortable with reporting and analysis of financial metrics

  • Hands on marketer with track record of delivering
