NEC are currently seeking a Technical Delivery Manager – Cloud, within the XaaS group charged with delivering services to internal and external customers.

The Technical Delivery Manager – Cloud, will manage the operational teams responsible for delivering NEC’s cloud infrastructure platforms.

Whilst technical skills are desirable, the successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of IaaS and shared infrastructure platforms as the Service Line Owner. Additionally, they will have responsibility for the daily management of the teams (including technical leads and engineers) to deliver the cloud infrastructure platforms.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring customers receive services in accordance with SLAs

  • Leading the operational teams responsible for all IaaS and infrastructure hosting platforms

  • Providing strategic input into IaaS and infrastructure services

  • Managing risk and compliance associated with the delivery of infrastructure services

  • Meeting operational SLA requirements

  • Reporting on Availability and performance of infrastructure services

  • Capacity management

  • Operational vendor management

  • Recovery/Cost reporting and management

  • Day-to-day commercial ownership of the services

  • Continuous improvement

Professional Experience

  • Experience in delivering services

  • 5 + years team leadership, customer service and project management experience

  • 3 + years in data centre implementation, strategy, Cloud stack implementation, automation and orchestration implementation

  • Experience with working in an outsourcing environment and customer support environment

  • 5 + years server support and troubleshooting. Expertise in the provision of support to customer environments which include:

  • Compute, Storage and backup

  • Experience with DevOps

  • Experience with both private and public cloud – AWS and Azure

  • Familiarity with public cloud architecture

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT

  • ITIL Foundation certified

  • Vendor certifications in relevant technologies – Windows systems, Unix, storage, backup or database technologies an advantage
