We are looking for a confident Warehouse Team Leader to co-ordinate and motivate our warehouse team in the safe operation of all warehousing and despatch activities, located at our Head Office in Auburn. Someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, dedicated to safety; internal customer service, delivery and accuracy with respect to all aspects of physical stock and product handling. Active involvement in company safety programmes, ensuring that warehouse personnel work safely.
Induct, coach and train personnel in policies and procedures, including multi-skilling.
Coordinate the planning and assignment of work to ensure the most efficient use of personnel and equipment across receiving, packaging, despatch, returns, logistics and storage.
Ensure that warehouse processes and procedures are effectively documented, updated and actively support others in carrying out their responsibilities.
Assist with resolution of non conformances and corrective action strategies.
Liaise with other departments to continuously improve warehouse practices, product delivery and efficiency gains.
Actively involved in stock taking, stock turns and cycle count accuracy to support inventory controls and inventory reduction strategies.
Maintain warehouse in a clean and safe manner at all times.
Skills and Experience
Minimum 3 years Warehouse Team Leader experience
Knowledge and application of HSE, Quality and Lean standards and principles
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Effective problem solving skills and decision making skills
Intermediate MS Office computer skills
High level of prioritisation and administrative skills with keen attention to detail
Current NSW Forklift License
Warehouse qualifications would be an advantage
Have a continuous improvement mindset to enhance team engagement, processes and procedures
