Volvo Group Communications Coordinator in Wacol, Australia

Volvo Group Australia is currently seeking applications from dynamic Communications professionals ready to take their career to the next level in the position of Communications Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative individual to join the Management team at our Production Facility and be a part of a global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals within the Heavy Transportation Equipment Industry. The Group Trucks Operations team at our Production Facility encompasses the production of state of the art products for the truck brands of the Volvo Group. This role is being offered on a 12 month fixed time contract.

About the role:

  • Lead and facilitate all communication initiatives for the Site by fostering a positive culture while strengthening the company and brand image

  • Develop and implement local internal communications strategy in partnership with the Site Management and in alignment with Site strategy

  • Partner with the global communications team and local marketing team in the development and implementation of the external communication strategy

  • Design, prepare and distribute regular news flow via internal media channels in line with branding guidelines

  • Coordinate and confidently lead the Production Facility Tours for customers, employees and VIPs in accordance with Workplace H&S policy and production schedules

  • Develop Tour presentation documentation including fact sheets, points of interest in line with branding guidelines

  • Manage and mentor Communications Intern.

About you:

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in a similar role

  • Qualifications in communications or marketing

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient system knowledge in Microsoft Office, InDesign and SharePoint

  • Extensive web publishing experience including the latest social media marketing methods

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage workflow with minimal supervision

  • Strong networker with varying stakeholder levels

  • An interest in the Commercial Truck industry.
