Job Description

The Maintenance Planning Team at our Leinster underground mine site are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner. Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Planning. The role involves preparing detailed weekly maintenance plans and schedules of work for plant and equipment, providing cost effective and reliable plant operations whilst meeting standards for safety, environment, and quality.

The core responsibilities are as follows;

  • Optimise labour and material utilisation during site planning/scheduling periods and also the coordination of weekly scheduling, rough cut and sign-off meetings with the stakeholders.

  • Ensure the integrity of the SAP PM Module data i.e. maintenance plans and task lists.

  • Assist in producing new and review existing maintenance procedures and work instructions

  • Monitor and report on performance against maintenance KPI's.

  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with Area Management Team and colleagues.

  • Assist the Maintenance Superintendents with budget preparation and forecasts.

Skills and Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role strongly desired

  • Prior experience in a mining or process industrial environment

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Computer skills, including experience in using Maintenance Databases, with SAP experience and/or formal GSAP module training preferred.

  • Scheduling software experience such as MS Project or Multi Resource Scheduling (MRS) would be an advantage.

  • A current driver’s license

Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.
