The Senior Mining Engineer will be responsible for actively contributing to the identification and analysis of resource development strategies and plans that maximise the potential value of existing and future development opportunities. The role participates in business development initiatives, provide support for growth projects, and guidance for mine planning across Nickel West.
This role will work closely with the Lead Mine Planning to optimise mine designs and schedules. This exciting role offers a fantastic opportunity to move into a strategically focussed role, working within a dedicated team of professionals with the chance to shape the future of the Nickel West business.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor Degree in mining engineering or a related discipline
Experience in the resource industry and proven success in previous studies on mine design and mine scheduling
Proven experience in technical and operational aspects of open pit and underground is strongly desired
Strong understanding of Open pit optimisation tools
Long term strategic mine planning skills
Well-developed analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to interact and influence high performance teams and project managers
Ability to build constructive relationships and work in a team environment
Practical knowledge and experience in economic modelling and evaluation methods
