About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Infrastructure Operations Supervisor, your primary purpose will be to provide operational support of production and non-production IT and OT systems, ensuring a stable platform for Applications and Services.

Your activities will include incident resolution, service request fulfilment, change execution, development of knowledge articles, documenting procedures, liaison with external vendors and the contribution to the development of standards and best practices. You will work within an ITIL framework, supporting the transition of new or enhanced technology services and contribute to the identification of service improvement and optimisation opportunities.

About you

Qualification

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent IT/OT experience.

  • ITIL Certification preferred but not essential.

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritise effectively and ensure effective execution of tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to quickly and effectively assess business impact of changes and incidents.

  • Highly logical thinker, with good analytical problem-solving skills and understanding root causes.

  • A multi-tasking team player who can also work in a stand-alone capacity.

Experience

  • Previous experience in managinginfrastructure and hosting technologywithin an enterprise environment.

  • Previous experience in operational support of mission critical services in large-scale environments, preferably mining/resources.

  • Previous automation and/or orchestration experience highly desirable.

  • At least 5 years relevant post-qualification experience inoneor more of the following technologies:

  • VMWare ESX, vCentre, SRM, vRealise Suite

  • Cisco UCS, B-Series blades and UCS Manager

  • HP Proliant & BladeCenter Servers

  • NetApp & EMC storage with backup technologies

  • Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux & Solaris

  • Citrix XenServer & Xen Desktop

  • Citrix NetScaler Application Delivery Controllers

  • Microsoft SCOM & SCCM

  • Splunk IT Operations

  • Cisco MDS and exposure to Cisco Nexus
