Job Description

We are currently seeking to recruit Production Managers for Afternoon and Night Shifts. These are great opportunities for experienced senior manufacturing people to support and lead across all Departments on Afternoon and Night Shifts at our Braeside Facility to achieve efficient and effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver SQDC & People commitments of the team

  • Embed standard work

  • Ensure team members have the necessary skills & capabilities

  • Plan daily activities of the team

  • Allocate employees to specific duties to support the team

  • Create daily plans, programs, rosters, inspections

  • Achieve production plan

  • Monitor and report the daily output of team

  • Organise and implement appropriate corrective actions for any issues

  • Provide clear and effective communication to the team and wider organisation

  • Drive continuous improvement across the departments

  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times

  • Engage employees in effective programmes s to promote safety in everything they do

  • Ensure that productivity targets are met

  • Ensure all team members are trained in appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs) and other practices

  • Lead the team to “Best Practice” in GMP compliance

  • Ensure effective team development programs are correctly implemented

  • Forecast and Plan labour requirements to meet production targets

  • Drive ‘Operational Excellence’ in all aspects of the department as a core competency to deliver growth and meet our commitments

Skills / Qualifications

Completion of Secondary/High School Certificate, Undergraduate Degree (preferred) coupled with proven extensive Supervisory / Managerial experience.

  • Must preferrably be working in or have solid experience in a GMP, fast paced, complex Production facility in the Pharmaceutical (ideally) or Dairy/Food/FMCG Industry to consistently meet scheduled deadlines

  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to generate rapid, positive change within an organisation - in particular, the ability to generate change through a participative team approach, and professionally develop a team as well as the individual

  • Must display above average leadership, communication, coaching and motivational skills

  • The ability to problem solve and to find the true root cause of an issue

  • Solid Computer skills

  • Must be able to work across other shifts as the business needs require

  • Be able to legally work in Australia on an ongoing basis as this is a permanent position
