This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hatch Water Power Group. Globally, we have a long history of success in the Energy sector and are building a bigger Energy group here in Australia due to increased demand for our services.
The successful candidate will manage projects associated with dams and hydropower facilities. They will also be responsible for marketing Water Power services throughout Australia and for managing the effective delivery of these services to clients. The Project Manager will ensure that all project services are completed in accordance with applicable codes and standards, including all corporate policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
The key accountabilities of the Project Manager – Water Power Australia will include:
Marketing leadership for Water Power business development activities in Australia
Overseeing project compliance with safety, quality and environmental objectives, and appropriate use of the Hatch QMS, SMS and EMS and other Hatch systems
Effective management of client project risks by company project teams, through deployment of company risk identification and analysis frameworks and active management of project risks throughout project execution
Management of company risk, on active project assignments and on new proposals
Resource planning for Water Power assignments in Australia utilizing our teams in Australia as well as the USA and Canada
The successful candidate will possess:
Mechanical engineering diploma with 10+ years of professional experience in the design, execution and rehabilitation of hydropower projects
Project and construction management experience on hydropower projects in Australia
International experience will be considered an asset
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills in English is a must.
