The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Property and Casualty Leader to join our Corporate Risks and Broking Practice in the Queensland office.

As a part of the branch leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth and leading the development and execution of short to medium term business plans for the team. Demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, the successful candidate will also be responsible for generating new business opportunities that contribute to the continued growth of the branch.

Reporting to the Queensland State Manager, this challenging role will entail:

  • Strategic management of Client relationships at a senior level;

  • Working with the team to ensure the Client’s risk management and insurance broking objectives are determined and actioned efficiently;

  • Working with the Sales Leader to develop new business opportunities by strategically driving the industry specialisms within the Corporate Risk and Broking Practice;

  • Identifying cross/up sell opportunities within the existing client portfolio;

  • Undertaking ongoing analysis of Client profitability, ensuring full utilisations of Group facilities, leading to guaranteed revenue maximization;

  • Creation of an environment which provides all staff with personal job satisfaction, recognition for their achievements and skills development opportunities.

The Requirements

  • You possess Leadership, Ownership and Team Oriented qualities;

  • You have experience with the placement and servicing of complex and/or multinational clients;

  • You have considerable corporate broking experience, supported by a Diploma of Finance (Insurance Broking) qualification and/or Tertiary qualifications and excellent commercial acumen;

  • Your exceptional industry networks offer you access to the best resources;

  • With an eye for detail, your technical proficiency in claims management processes, policy coverage and wording review is second to none;

  • Your excellent report writing skills are supported by a demonstrated level of proficiency in Word and Excel and knowledge of PowerPoint;

  • Your oral and written communication skills are outstanding. Whether you are communicating one-on-one, or to a group, your exceptional interpersonal skills ensure you stand out from the crowd;

  • With demonstrated success in managing team relationships and senior level Client relationships, your focus is on exceptional service;
