Research Assistant - Improving call trace visualisation for defects in source code
Visualisation is a critical aspect for tools that show call traces that lead to a defect. The quality of a call trace in a user interface influences how fast and how well developers can understand the issue being shown. This task is not trivial, as there are potentially many control-flow and data dependencies along the call graph that are relevant to understanding the defect.
The aim of this internship is to improve the Parfait UI with new visualisations for call traces and their related control-flow and data dependencies. If time permits then the source code relevant to these traces should also be cross referenced by taking advantage of another Labs tool, Frappe.

Duties. You will:
work independently to develop a state-of-the-art solution to call trace visualisation
meet with your supervisor daily for guidance and to discuss ways to solve the problem
attend team meetings and give updates on your work
present your findings and outcomes to the group
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
