Join us as the Chef deCuisine for Conference & Events at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley. You’ll

have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital

role, we’re looking for someone who can motivate a very passionate kitchen

brigade of up to 15 chefs and lead the largest regional and Award Winning

Conference Venue in NSW.

Given the scope of the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, you will have an

opportunity to work in various culinary areas, but most importantly you

will be responsible for the daily operation and running of our large-scale

Conference & Events business that generates over $5 million in food revenue

per annum.

Supported by our Executive Sous and Executive Chef, you will have the

opportunity to showcase your organisational and logistical skills by managing

events across more than 20 conference spaces, including:

1,000 seat Conference and Events Centre

·

450 seat Grand Ballroom

·

450 seat Countryside Marquee

This rare opportunity will see the successful candidate unleash their

creative flair through research and new menu development, and the creation of

new conference and events products using state of the art kitchen facilities.

Qualifications

Ideally you will have proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or at a

Senior Chef level within a reputable establishment, who can apply a small

restaurant approach to a large scale event. You will be able to manage a large

kitchen brigade, and be successful at creating a positive culture, effectively

delegating, and mentoring and inspiring the team to perform at their best.

You will possess solid business acumen to monitor financial budgets,

food and labour costs and you will have the ability to maintain exceptionally

high and consistent food quality standards at all time. You will have previous

experience in HACCP accreditation and be knowledgeable in food safety and WHS

systems.
