About the Role:

Based at our Huntingwood site, we are looking to bring the right person on for an initial 2 year contract. Reporting through to the Manufacturing Manager this role will see you responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives for our waste reduction program on our Sweet Biscuit and Shapes production lines. This hands-on role will see you out on the production floor working with our trade and operator teams to uncover improvement opportunities and facilitating the implementation of solutions. In addition, your focus will be to engage with our operational teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement, including leading training sessions and coaching on the job, to embed specific tools.

We are looking for the right candidate who can dive into the detail of our operations and lead front line teams through a structured improvement process to identify and eliminate waste, and streamline our daily processes to remove non-value add activities. What are the ingredients you need to be successful?

  • Strong technical expertise in a highly automated, fast-moving manufacturing environment

  • Experience in identifying and delivering on continuous improvement projects

  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma frameworks

  • Structured and methodical problem solving skills

  • Exceptional leadership style and experience, driven by values and a people focus

  • Project Management skills and a high attention to detail

  • Exposure to a GMP environment such as food, beverage or pharmaceuticals is desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline such as engineering or science (desirable)
