The Oracle Marketing Cloud Consulting Services team provides out-sourced management, data, creative, campaign, implementation, technical consulting and strategic services to customers globally. With service consultants working in various locations and across multiple time-zones, we are looking to consolidate a solid resourcing function that can, at a high level, ensure that we are optimising the use of our people.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Resource Manager to report into and work with the Global Head of Resource Management and to support the rapidly growing APAC business. As a Resource Manager for the OMC Services team you will work very closely with Service Pillar leads, Project Managers, the leadership team and your peers across the regions.
Specific functions include:
Ensure greatest efficiency in resource deployment - ensure that the right people are on the right jobs at the right time.
Forecasting – Work with all sources of data to collaborate information and provide holistic visibility to the business on capacity, skill sets and provide commercial recommendations.
Service pillar lead support – Work closely with service pillar leads and respond to their RM needs.
Reporting - Analysis & commercial recommendations on matters such as utilisation, billable & late time, forecast work etc.
Define & implement RM processes - To align with global counterparts, process will need implemented e.g. workflow management, time recording governance etc. At times there will be the need to define and make suggestions as to best practice taking into local factors that may differ from other regions.
Training of Project Management & Resource Management platform - The Resource Manager will be the super user of the platform for the region in which they are located. It will be their responsibility to train new team members on process and functionality of the tool.
Offshore Resource Management –work with our growing offshore team to manage their workflow.
Resource Manager Forum – Representative to discuss regional needs, capacity and best practice with RM team across the regions.
ADHOC projects & initiatives – lead/ assist as necessary as directed
Drive continuous improvement of best Resource Management practice.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
3 years of relevant Resource Management experience.
Industry experience would be of huge benefit – an understanding electronic marketing (email, SMS, Push, display)
Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic industry- i.e Consulting, agency or a Creative services environment
The ability to demonstrate strong organisational skills and structured & fast thinking
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Diplomatic conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving skills
Clear & concise communication skills (written & verbal)
Strong relationship building ability
Previous knowledge of Resource Management & Project Management software would be of use.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
As a member of the Consulting organization, you are responsible for ensuring that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client
- s satisfaction. This involves working closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery.
Create and manage an overall project plan (including budget, structure, schedule, and staffing needs) for one or more Oracle engagements. Monitor and report progress/changes against the plan. Drive implementation by providing motivation and direction.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. A BS or BA in related fields. 3 - 6 years overall experience in functional or technical role.
