The Business Development Specialist positions SAP Hybris to our prospects and customers to create new business and further develop opportunities through deal qualification and opportunity nurturing in the early sales cycle. They uncover new business opportunities by identifying cross and upselling opportunities in close collaboration with SAP Hybris Sales Executives, managing and executing follow-up activities (e.g. outbound initiatives) supported by the Demand Generation Specialist hub in Kuala Lumpur.


Qualify, nurture and develop opportunities for sales:

  • Create, build, qualify and nurture pipeline for assigned accounts in direct collaboration with the customer and SAP Hybris Account Executive

  • Interact actively with prospects and customers to identify prioritized customer needs

  • Drive proactive outbound call activities into net new contacts

  • Identify white spots by customer/industry analysis

  • Execute and manage follow-up activities to position the adequate SAP Hybris solution

  • Define coverage strategy and an action plan in alignment with the account team

  • Handover mature opportunities to the SAP Hybris Account Executive

  • Provide forecast and ensure forecast and pipeline accuracy

  • Establish trusted advisor relationships across lines of business that will provide ongoing, accurate account information and future opportunities


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or IT-related discipline

  • Proven (Inside) Sales, Presales or Business Development ability and drive

  • Ability to articulate the SAP Hybris value proposition clearly in an industry context

  • Ability to work independently with a strong drive for results

  • Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of the Front office market including: Commerce & CRM market

  • Strong capability to work in teams and an ability to learn and adapt quickly

  • Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to customers and sales


Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in solutions sales. Experience in an Inside Sales role is a plus.

Successful experience in multichannel go-to-market models
