Facebook is seeking a highly quantitative, driven, and creative measurement lead to work within our Marketing Science team to support its Australian advertising business. The Marketing Science team is charged with demonstrating the value of the platform via providing clients and agencies with strategic insights and measurement of media. This role will have a particular focus on branding advertisers. Facebook has the opportunity to reshape advertising and this position will play a central role in determining how successful we can be within the Australian market. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, interested in advertising, intellectually curious, a fast learner, and able to move fast while keeping focused on high impact projects. This role will be working to apply techniques to understand consumers and ad effectiveness through innovative analytics, methods, and products. This position is full time and located in Melbourne or Sydney.
Working closely with the Marketing Science team, this role will produce analyses and research that will prove the value of Facebook’s advertising business in this market. Objectives of this position include: Develop, execute and continually evaluate Facebook Australia’s brand measurement strategy
Partner with Facebook regional sales team based to drive deeper, more strategic relationships with clients through measurement and research
Serve as the thought leader for strategic advertiser relationships, both client and agency, as it pertains to measurement and insights
Work closely with business marketing team to highlight measurement success through regional case studies and press coverage
Develop unique insights to inform branding campaigns and creative
Consult on brand marketing plans to integrate media optimization knowledge.
7+ years of relevant experience, media research experience and general love of data and numbers
Deep understanding of brand metrics the drivers of those metrics for Australian advertisers
Demonstrated problem solving ability with experience providing practical business insights from large, complex data sets
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and communicate technical content to senior clients
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment while working autonomously
Strong SQL skills and Excel skills a strong plus
Experience with experimental design and statistical data analysis preferred
