As an Associate Consultant, Presales, you are expected to gain a sound understanding of CA’s PPM Solutions and a working knowledge of CA’s technology strategies in order to articulate CA’s PPM application to customers’ and partner’s IT practices and address their IT needs. You are expected to be seen by the customer as bringing tangible value in terms of experience, knowledge and expertise. You will majorly support sales activities in Australia with possibilities in other countries of APJ region.

CA PPM: Project & Portfolio Management

  • Key Responsibilities*

  • Collaborate with sales team to map CA PPM technology to the customer's business drivers and partner offerings utilizing the CA sales process.

  • Develop an understanding and learn to articulate CA's PPM technology vision and strategy and communicate its business value and impact.

  • Learn to set and manage appropriate customer expectations throughout the opportunity lifecycle.

  • Assist sales in accurately assessing and forecasting opportunities.

  • Learn to evaluate alternative options to execute opportunities by the most cost effective means without negatively impacting deliverable quality or customer's perceptions.

  • Assist sales teams to ensure long-term stability and sustainability of book-of-business.

  • Meet or exceed CA's stated financial quotas and targets.

  • Become proficient with CA's internal processes, systems and support structure.

  • Understand and adhere to compliance requirements and Code of Ethics.

  • Business Travel*

Business travel of approximately 50 percent yearly is expected for this position. International travel is expected.

  • Preferred Education*

Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent experience in an IT, business or sales related field.

  • Skills & Competencies*

  • Typically 0-3 years of IT industry related experience in positions of technical support, development and etc.

  • Possess an understanding of technology concerns and the ability to quickly become knowledgeable on CA's PPM Technology.

  • Have underlying business acumen or experience in order to demonstrate/explain how CA PPM technology can fulfill the business requirements of customers.

  • Develop knowledge of given industry and relevant marketplace; Able to deliver oral and written communications that are impactful and persuasive with their intended audience. e.g., on industry trends, best practices, competitive practices, regulatory issues, etc.

  • Strong communication and written skills in English, speaking a second language will be a big plus, e.g., Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese and etc.
