About the opportunity

Reporting to our Team Leader, Ecology and Heritage, the Sydney-basedHeritage Consultant will be responsible for providing technical andprofessional support to our heritage team, primarily in NSW and possibly also acrossother geographies within ANZ.

Primary responsibilities will include supporting the SeniorArchaeologists to deliver heritage projects by assisting with day to day tasksincluding reporting and fieldwork; preparation of proposals; workingcollaboratively with a range of disciplines; building strong relationships withclients (internal and external) and taking on an active role in the coachingand training of graduates, up to and including some supervision.

About you

We are looking for a safety conscious individual with a can-do positiveattitude and the ability to use initiative, solve problems and overcomeobstacles. You would also require the following:

  • Relevant degree (preference for post-graduate qualifications).

  • Previous relevant work experience.

  • Familiarity with relevant State and Commonwealth Heritage legislation.

  • Comprehensive understanding of HSEC requirements and industry approaches.

  • A current driver’s licence.

  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking archaeological field work.
