About the opportunity
With the vision to elevate our Transport profile in NSW, a new role has become available for a Principal Track Engineer within our Rail division. This position will provide specialist consulting services across a diverse range of projects, contributing to the Rail Section and broader Transport group. Based out of North Sydney offices this role will report directly to the Section Leader for Rail.
On a day to day you will take responsibility for the outcome of extensive, diversified projects or programs dealing with multiple, complex problems of significant difficulty. Identifying key relationships that should be initiated or improved to further the attainment of group goals. This person will maintain, build, and expand, strategic client relationship networks consistently and regularly to uncover opportunities in conjunction with Business Development Leaders, acting as a strategic leader.
You will have the ability to expand on your strong technical knowledge through the management of project resources including coordination with Section Leaders and other Project Managers as required. Managing project documentation in accordance with Jacobs policies and procedures including client documentation, correspondence and design documentation, along with managing the project review and verification processes.
As a successful applicant, you will be educated to Bachelor of Engineering degree level or equivalent with experience in Project Management tools. This is a strategic role where you can develop your technical knowledge and build upon people management skills. If you are a chartered professional engineer this is desirable but not essential.
