With our newly established office in the Northern Territory, we are partnering with the Northern Territory Government to provide Return to Work services in Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs, with a focus on improved client experience and outcomes.
We are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent Return to Independence Specialist to join our Darwin Office. We are building a new customer, solution and outcome-focused team that will embrace and complement our unique GB culture, creating job opportunities for locals in the NT.
About the role:
Reporting directly to the Team Manager, main responsibilities will include:
Providing guidance and support to assist seriously injured workers in achieving their goals with the focus to increase independence in their lives.
Developing and maintain positive relationships with seriously injured workers and their families assisting them with navigating the Return to Work Act and system and clarify roles and responsibilities when required;
Participating in all aspects of goal development and strategies with injured workers, by working collaboratively with treating health practitioners and allied health providers, to maintain and/or gain independence;
Identifying seriously injured workers needs and manage Activities of Daily Living requirements;
Identifying, approve and organise products, equipment and services that will assist seriously injured workers to remain independent and access the community; and;
Participating with Return to Work SA in periodic review of the programs activities and results contributing to improved services and outcomes for employers and their injured workers.
To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, provide high levels of customer service and the ability to empathise with injured workers. You will also have the ability to work autonomously with strong attention to detail and the ability to think strategically coupled with sound experience of the Workers Compensation/Claims Management. Candidates with an allied health background or experience within the disability sector will be held in high regard.
