Chevron Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Lead – Turnarounds to join the Major Maintenance team reporting to the Major Maintenance Superintendent. This role will be based in Perth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promote a positive safety culture by leading the development, implementation and enforcement of the safety procedures for major maintenance events across Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG facilities

  • Lead the development of the major maintenance event specific safety plans

  • Carryout hazard analysis control effectiveness audits during execution windows

  • Ensure that the plant integrity and availability is protected by maintaining equipment within the Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG facilities by applying Chevron's major maintenance systems and framework

  • Engage and lead the major maintenance and event core team in relation to the event context, scope and hazards

  • Develop team capability on turnaround processes and procedures

  • Provide visible leadership by adopting and implementing the transient contractor management strategy

  • Lead the preparation, communication and execution of the safety management plan to relevant stakeholders

  • Collate all emergent work and report to Superintendents and facilitate scope challenge requirements

  • Liaise with support functions as required to deliver event requirements

  • Commitment to health, environment and safety and Chevron best practices

Key skills and experience required:

  • More than 10 years of experience within oil and gas, LNG, refining, mining or heavy industries

  • Experience in end to end maintenance execution for large turnaround events

  • Experience in developing maintenance processes, procedures and system improvements

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and people management

  • Experience in engaging and aligning stakeholders in a complex and changing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to high-class business results
