The position

Currently we are seeking a Return to Work Coordinator to join our corporate office located in Brisbane CBD . This is a full time, permanent position that will see you responsible for the delivery of personalised service to workers, employers and treating health practitioners which focuses on positively influencing and encouraging parties to participate in the return to work process and take ownership of actions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • End to end claims management including rehabilitation and injury management;

  • Assist to facilitate early intervention programs;

  • Early contact with the injured worker, employer, treating health practitioners and allied health professionals, with a view to empower and influence parties to participate in the return to work process and achieve early return to work outcomes;

  • Educate and inform stakeholders on the return to work process;

  • Attend medical reviews with the injured worker to promote implementing strategies and early intervention;

  • Facilitate and monitor medical and like cost management strategies on claims, ensuring cost effectiveness for the purpose of sustainability of the scheme;

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency across portfolios, to produce return to work outcomes, review of entitlements and where possible early determinations;

  • Assist and educate employers and workers in completing any workers compensation documentation as required, ensuring technical elements of the Act are explained in a language that the worker and employer can understand.

What we are looking for:

  • Sound knowledge of relevant Acts, legislation and work health benefits;

  • Expertise in developing and implementing return to work plans in conjunction with relevant stakeholders

  • The ability to calculate weekly benefits and submit wage reimbursements is highly regarded;

  • A proactive approach with strong organisational and time management skills;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels;

  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate outcomes;

  • A strong sense of accountability with the ability to deliver what is promised;

  • Proven track record of providing high levels of customer service;

  • Qualifications in Personal Injury Management will be held in high regard;

  • National legislation exposure well regarded.
