This is a challenging career opportunity for an individual who is knowledgeable about liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry and is passionate about sharing knowledge with others.

Working with the account managers the successful candidate will provide technical assistance throughout sales process.

Post sales, the successful candidate will drive customer success through supporting the adoption of Waters solutions.

Based on the east coast of Australia, travel throughout ANZ will be required.

  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on applications and instrumentation;

  • Learn new MS products and disseminate this information to the account managers and fellow members of the support team;

  • Engage with the account managers during the pre-sales process providing technical assistance as required;

  • Deliver presentations/papers and attend conferences/trade shows if required;

  • Carry out demonstrations, adhere to and enforce the procedures put in place for managing these;

  • Provide technical assistance in preparing and review of MS quotations and tender submission documents;

  • Delivery of customer education courses;

  • In house applications support for installed customer base;

  • On site troubleshooting and application set up;

  • Provide internal training to Waters field staff when required;

  • Documenting customer interaction through the use of CIT or CRM as appropriate.

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree (Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent);

  • Maintaining an in depth knowledge of the technical capability of the Waters MS portfolio and their applications;

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve issues with methods and instrumentation;

  • A proven ability to interpret and report scientific results;

  • Good communication skills including active listening, presentation and writing skills;

  • Ability to plan activities and prioritise accordingly to ensure timelines are met;

  • Actively pursues solutions that are customer focused;

  • Shows perseverance when hurdles are encountered;

  • Ability to keep technical knowledge current and to apply this in developing creative solutions;

  • Ability to build effective customer relationships;
