KBR has recently been appointed as the lead design consultant for the SEA1000 Future Submarine manufacturing precinct in Adelaide.
This multi million dollar development involves over two years of continuous design work during which new engineering leaders will emerge, and valuable in depth experience and understanding will be gained by team members.
Based in our Adelaide office, the design team will be using the latest BIM and digital engineering tools as they design 20 new buildings and upgrade 10 existing buildings to meet the leading edge specifications for Future Submarine manufacture.
Working under the guidance of experienced discipline based team leaders, this design opportunity will set you up for the next stage of your engineering competency.
Due to further support our growing building services group we are looking for a Design Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience working in Fire Systems design for commercial, industrial, office and / or residential buildings.
Ideally you'lll be familiar with design tools embedded within BIM design applications and with Australian standards and industry practices.
Responsibilities will include
Preparing and reviewing designs, technical reports, drawings, technical specifications
Delivering investigations and studies and including detailed reporting
Performing a mechanical engineering design role on significant projects
Supporting ongoing professional development of other team members
