Reporting to our General Manager and based in Sydney, the primary responsibility of the Executive Manager Small Law & Bar, is to provide overall strategic leadership and functional management of all sales, marketing and customer success activities within the segments and take direct and hands-on responsibility for the delivery of sales targets for the region.

With a strong commercial focus to your work, you will facilitate a ‘customer-centric’ strategic and operational focus to drive revenue and ensure profitability; champion operational excellence; lead an engaged and talented workforce and actively represent the LexisNexis brand with our customers to ensure successful long-term growth in Australia.

Specific responsibilities and deliverables include the following:

  • Creation and implementation of a sales & marketing strategy for the Small Law & Bar segments that develops and expands our existing revenue streams, whilst stimulating revenue growth from specialist products and solutions. Have the commercial capability to expand share and grow revenues whilst increasing gross margins.

  • Preparing a robust operating plan so that budgets and forecasts are consistently achieved. Take overall responsibility and ownership for the achievement of sales and other performance targets across the team.

  • Work effectively with product strategy teams to identify and size opportunities for new market entrants, acquisition and profitable brand/product extension.

  • Champion customer contact at Executive level, and personally lead the drive for new solution penetration in existing customers, and new business pitches for prospective clients.

Key requirements for the role include:

  • 8-10 year’s senior leadership experience preferably gained in software solutions, small business environment

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, or related field. MBA Desirable

  • Extensive experience in developing marketing and sales strategies, and working collaboratively across the organization to embed these in an Agile environment

  • Excellent leadership/communication, influencing and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrable experience in leading and fostering an ‘customer centric’ culture
