Project Engineer

The principal function of this position is to be responsible for managing all technical and quality aspects of construction activities at a site level.

As the Project Engineer you will be expected to:

  • review and approve all contractor technical submittals

  • maintain configuration control of the site

  • lead the site based input to field changes

  • review Field Engineer Daily Report

  • report weekly on site progress, changes, and HSE performance.

  • maintain site document registers

  • provide input to the project programme on technical activities

  • review contractor HSE, interface submittals and monitor compliance against accepted plans

  • provide constructability input to the design process

Skills required:

  • commitment to collaborative working in a team environment.

significant knowledge and experience of construction quality systems and processes

  • understanding of project controls processes

  • knowledge and experience of site-based ES&H processes and procedures

  • knowledge of heavy civil, tunnel construction

Able to prioritise work demands, handle multiple complex task simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow through within a fast paced environment.


Extensive experience in major civil construction projects including deep foundations and mining / sprayed concrete lining.

Experience managing the construction quality / certification process of sub-surface infrastructure.

Experience in the coordination and management of the control of ground movements of deep excavation in city / urban environments, including methods of measurement, review and analysis of settlement monitoring data..
