Symantec Regional Product Marketing Manager in Sydney, Australia

The Regional Product Marketing Manager will be a key member of the Global Marketing Team within Norton Business Unit. This role will be responsible for the product marketing of the Norton product portfolio in his/her region and represent his/her geo on the global marketing leadership team. This role requires strong collaboration and relationship building with teams across the globe including GPMM, PM, Geo Partner Sales & Marketing, eBusiness and BDA.

Responsibilities

  • Define priorities and set guidelines against TAM based on macro/micro-level analysis conducted and socialized with other stakeholders

  • Work with Region marketing to monitor the business and assist in driving plans to help ensure that business objectives are met

  • Broadly communicate strategy, launch status and GTM plans/elements in order to drive alignment with internal and external stakeholders

  • Be the product/service expert for the Norton portfolio in his/her region

  • Be the customer expert in his/her region in order to influence global strategy and GTM plan

  • Understand target customer mindset and attitude to inform product development, positioning and messaging

  • Regionalize and create value propositions, content, messaging, sales tools and channel notifications for product/service launches, programs and campaigns

  • Create materials and support partner briefings/meetings/webcasts

  • Contribute feedback to drive “right-for region” pricing, discounting and promotion strategy/calendar

  • Own the country-by-country adoption of the product playbook for all product/service launches

  • Conduct product/service training and demos

  • Track and communicate competitive movements in region to both global and regional teams resulting in competitive matrix by country.Be the conduit of competitive activity between region and global team

  • Assist in the planning and execution of local research in country

  • Evangelize Norton to customers, partners, media/analysts and internal teams

  • Be the Norton media spokesperson in region including demos and thought leadership

  • Work with region marketing team to assist in measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of each marketing program and reporting back on results.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of consumer and/or small business product marketing experience required with specific experience conducting marketing at the region or country level

  • Deep understanding of the Consumer Endpoint Security market (Mobile, PC, Mac, Family, Identity) including expert understanding of the technology and innate curiosity and ability to monitor trends and anticipate market movement

  • Experience with complex route-to-market environment and ability to interpret by country and contribute to overall go-to-market strategy

  • Motivated individual with the presence, confidence and energy required to engage and influence many different types of personalities within the organization

  • Proactive and self starter required as much independent decision making and action is required

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • BA/BS Required
