Job Summary

AECOM is looking for an enthusiastic Senior/Principal Urban Designer to join the Design and Planning team, a progressive group of urban designers, planners, architects and landscape architects that work collaboratively and across disciplines within the Sydney office and as part of a national team delivering city shaping projects. As part of the team you will contribute to a design studio environment, where you can help deliver and lead these city shaping projects, and where you will be valued and rewarded for your creativity, collaboration and innovation. In this role you will be given the opportunity to develop urban design concepts, frameworks, and guidelines for major development, strategic planning, infrastructure and other large scale projects. You will help build positive client relationships and work with our development, government and infrastructure clients to design and deliver great places.

Minimum Requirements

  • Have a tertiary degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning or similar

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience including local experience in NSW

  • Be able to produce written and illustrative documentation that is of a high standard and in accordance with AECOM and/or project standard formats

  • Demonstrate proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD/Rhino/Sketch Up/Revit)

  • Demonstrate familiarity with GIS software and analysis including ArcGIS and/or MapInfo

  • Have an ability to communicate effectively and positively with a broad range of clients, stakeholders and project partners
