AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP Desktop Support Engineer in Australia

We have an in-house onsite support team which support our manufacturing business providing face to face desktop support. We are looking for someone who is able to provide excellent customer service experiences to our customers, who can also effectively manage their time for best possible outcomes. Your application will need to demonstrate your current experience within a similar role.

As an Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and functional assistance on various information technology platforms from technical workstation issues through to ‘how do I?’ queries on mobile devices. You will utilise your excellent interpersonal skills to help users with walk up support queries leverage your previous experience within a similar role to diagnose and resolve difficult issues. You will regularly need to troubleshoot infrastructure and application related problems and help users find the right solution within our global technology support team.

The ideal applicant will be comfortable working within a rostered rotation, Monday – Friday from 8am - 8pm for a standard week and also part of an on call roster for out of hours critical issues which is shared through the team.

The key skills and experience which are desired are as follows:

  • Face to face customer service experience providing IT support to internal customer groups (e.g. Tech Bar / Genius Bar)

  • Networking understanding highly desirable (network fundamentals and also physical patching, rack & stack, hands and eyes)

  • Printer support; Fuji Xerox MFDs and desktop printers; Zebra label printers

  • Lab PC environments with legacy operating systems and segregated networks

  • Audio Visual, Video Conference & meeting room technology troubleshooting experience

  • Cloud SaaS technology awareness and use including; Office 365, Skype for Business, Concur, SalesForce

  • Mobile Device Management: Airwatch and physical asset management of iOS devices

  • Desktop/Laptop imaging through SCCM and Windows 10 support

  • Previous working experience within the Pharmaceutical or FMCG industry

  • Understanding of manufacturing applications knowledge (SAP, PAS-X)
