The Role Barossa is a multi TCF gas discovery offshore Darwin, Australia and its development is of strategic im portance given its potential to backfill the existing Darwin LNG plant post Bayu-Undan end of field life. Reporting to the Project Director, the Barossa FPSO Manager will be accountable for the development and management of FPSO work scope and completion of optimization studies ensuring deliverables meet project gate and JV partner requirements. F EL2 and FEL3 gross budget accountability is expected to be in the region of $100 million, with future execution phase FPSO costs estimated to be in the region of $2 billion. Key responsibilities will include selection of personnel and leadership for a multi-discipline engineering team; Tender enquiry preparation, tender evaluation and selection of suppliers and contractors; Management of external suppliers and contractors; Reporting and managing scope, schedule, cost and risk trends throughout project phases. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required Chartered engineer (or BSC engineering). Minimum 15 years’ experience in offshore oil and gas project management. Minimum 10 years’ experience as technical or engineering manager for major complex projects. Experience with contractors and suppliers involved with the design, supply and installation of FPSOs and topsides equipment. Experience in management and supervision, including development and implementation, of FPSO topsides and marine plans and programs. Understanding of operational and maintenance requirements of FPSO topsides and marine equipment. Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop and present management reports. Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding and leadership skills. Analytical/technical skills with a practical approach to problem solving. Preferred Previous experience of working in Australia and knowledge of regulatory regime. Experience in contract preparation and terms and conditions as well as contract negotiations. Background in project controls for managing major capital projects. Experience with international projects and dealing with foreign vendors and contractors.
