Leading Defence Contractor Work with a great team in a growing organisation Williamtown, NSW location An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Engineering Officer to join our Air Combat Training Services Support (ACTSS) Program at RAAF Base Williamtown. The local ACTSS team have the challenging but rewarding responsibility for ensuring the availability of the Hornet simulators and instructors to train the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). Reporting to the Engineering Lead, the successful applicant will assist the engineering team to complete a range of activities including design development, design advice, defect investigations, Technical Information Review (TIR), Obsolescence Management and maintenance related investigations. High levels of dedication and attention to detail are critical for this position. Key Responsibilities Working within the approved Engineering Management System and associated procedures, you will: Develop Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Publication Amendments, Logistics Support Analysis, Obsolescence Monitoring and Deviations Conduct Technical Information Review (TIR) Conduct Basic Engineering Investigations Develop and amend Technical Instructions Conduct Supportability & Engineering Analyses and Obsolescence Management Perform System Reviews Support Flight Training Device Recurrent Evaluations & Special Evaluations Skills, Experience and Qualifications Certificate IV or higher in Aircraft Avionics or equivalent Knowledge of aircraft simulator systems or aircraft systems Knowledge of COTS Computing Equipment hardware and software corrective and preventive maintenance. Demonstrated experience in an engineering discipline with this experience involving one or more of following practices: the use of systems and engineering processes; systems of primary Engineering Authority (EA) and/or Knowledge and understanding of regulations applicable to simulators Well-developed oral and written communication skills; and In exchange for your expertise and a positive can do attitude you will join a high performing and close knit program team and become part of a leading ADF Industry organisation.
